Sustainability is an important topic for us, which is targeted and actively pursued through numerous measures. By promoting regional raw materials and supporting artisan baking, we as a family business make our contribution. Sourdough by itself is a very sustainable product. The natural acidity of sourdough improves the freshness of baked goods and provides better protection against mold, which means less food waste. All of our sourdough products are plant-based and making a delicious base for vegan baked goods. Furthermore, sourdoughs from legumes provide valuable plant proteins. There are also a large number of organic products in our assortment.

Sourdough as a fermentation product offers numerous advantages to contribute to an aware, wholesome nutrition:

With the BÖCKER SOURDOUGH LANGUAGE we have developed our own language to support our customers in communicating the taste of our products as well as to describe to the consumers which taste moments they can expect from the produced baked goods.
Targeted descriptions elaborate on all relevant flavor components and present them in an understandable and clear way with suggested formulations for individual flavor profiles. For this purpose, BÖCKER sourdough products and baked goods were sensory evaluated and described.
The BÖCKER SOURDOUGH LANGUAGE contains 20 of our natural sourdough products and breads made from them. In the future, we will be expanded even further more.
